Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Thursday in the red, dragged lower by the transport sector.
By 9:57 am Qatar time, the QSE’s benchmark index fell 0.18% or 19.6 points to reach 10,630.73 points.
The transport sector fell 0.33%, leading losers, while the goods and consumer services sector led gainers, adding 0.5%.
Qatar and Oman’s stock topped falling stocks, sliding 3.81%, while Qatar National Cement led gainers, surging 9.29% on the back of positive financial results.
In the meantime, turnover amounted to QAR 44.4 million after 911,000 shares changed hands through 820 transactions.
Woqod’s stock, up 0.69%, was the value leader with QAR 12.5 million, while QAMCO, down 0.41%, led in terms of volume with 186,800 shares exchanged.
