Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday’s trading session in green territory, supported by the increase of the transportation sector.
By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index inched up 0.02%% to 10,378.72 points, adding 1.78 points.
Turnover amounted to QAR 6.4 million after 352,300 shares were traded through 439 transactions.
The transportation sector was the QSE only gainer adding 0.72% after Qatar Navigation (Milaha) grew 2.55%.
On the negative side, the industrial sector headed the bourse’s decliners falling 0.11%, pressured by Qatar National Cement’s 1.66% drop.
Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding’s stock, which plunged 0.89%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 918,400, while Qatar First Bank’s (QFB) spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 63,900 shares.
