Mubasher: The Tunisian Chemical Group (GCT) signed on Monday an agreement with Chinese enterprises for the establishment of a triple superphosphate production unit, state’s news agency reported.
This will be the fourth phase of a project named ‘Medhila 2’ for the production of chemical fertilisers in this area.
The unit’s annual production is estimated at around 400,000 tonnes of triple superphosphates.
When the new unit comes on stream, production will range between 800,000 to 1 million tonnes of triple superphosphate.
The new unit is expected to start actual production in early 2018.
