Mubasher: Tunisia’s inflation is expected to reach 4.2% at the end of this year, compared with 5.7% a year earlier, said Trade Minister Reda Al-Ahwal.
Inflation hit 4.1% on 22 December, and this is a temporary percentage, Radio Tunisienne reported citing Al-Ahwal.
The minister highlighted the government’s efforts to lower the prices of food such as tomatos, onions and meat, adding that the government pledged not to raise the tariffs of some services such as electricity, gas, transport and basic materials.
