Turkey’s Limak Insaat completes 70% of KIA’s new terminal construction

Mubasher: Limak Insaat has completed 70% of concrete and substructure of the new terminal in Kuwait International Airport (KIA), in addition to installing and operating 25 cranes, the chairwoman at the Turkey-based construction company said.

Around 7,500 workers are operating in the project in the meantime, and the number will increase to 10,000 after Limak commences mechanical and electricity works, Ebru Ozdemir told Al-Qabas newspaper.

The Kuwaiti firms make up 25% of the suppliers of KIA’s new terminal, the chairwoman said. 

Ozdemir further noted that Kuwait is the second largest destination for Limak.

Limak owns four construction projects in the GCC nation with a total value of KWD 1.44 billion.
