Two sectors drag down ADX at Monday’s close

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Monday’s trading session in negative territory, pressured by the banks and sector sectors.

The general index inched down 1.69 points, or 0.03%, to finish the session at 4,870.40 points.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 40.18 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 147.074 million through 1,361 transactions.

The investment sector topped decliners with 0.64% as Waha Capital decreased by 0.69%.

Similarly, the energy sector fell 0.13% as Dana Gas went down 0.23%, while the banks sector plunged 0.37% on the back of First Abu Dhabi Bank’s (FAB) 0.44% drop.

On the other hand, the real estate sector headed gainers, adding 4.17% as Aldar Properties jumped 5.08%.
