Two sectors push ADX down at Wednesday’s open

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) decreased 0.34% or 14.93 points to reach 4,376.68 points in Wednesday’s early trades.

By 11:00 am UAE time, the consumer staples sector declined 1.37% as International Fish Farming Holding (Asmak) retreated 7.43%, while the energy sector shed 0.88% after Dana Gas dropped 1.43%.

Ooredoo, Manazel Real Estate, and Aldar Properties tumbled 10%, 1.92%, and 0.87%, respectively.

On the other hand, the investment and financial services sector rose 1.59% as Waha Capital increased 1.76%, while the banks sector grew after the National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah (RAKBANK) went up 4.17% and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) gained 0.14%.

Trading volume reached 19.5 million shares, through 177 transactions, generating AED 21.10 million.
