Mubasher: IHS Markit preliminary data released on Tuesday showed that the business activity in the U.S. recorded its highest level in 9 months during October.
Markit purchasing managers’ index (PMI) rose to 55.7 points in October, from the prior reading of 54.8 points in September.
Markit manufacturing PMI advanced to 54.5 in October versus 53.1 points in September, after analysts had predicted that it may rise to only 53.3 points.
Meanwhile, Markit flash services PMI increased to 55.9 in October, from 55.3 points in the month before, while analysts had expected the reading to rise to just 55.6.
