U.S. crude supplies fell 800,000 barrels

Mubasher: U.S. crude supplies roughly fell by 800,000 barrels for the week ended July 22, said the American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday.

Crude inventories are forecasted to see a slide of 2.6 million barrels, according to analysts polled by S&P Global Platts.  

The API data also revealed that supplies at the oil-storage hub at Cushing, Okla. rose by a more than expected 1.4 million barrels.

The closely watched Energy Information Administration report is expected to be released on Wednesday.
