Mubasher: Oil inventories jumped in the United States last week more than expected, data showed on Wednesday.
The inventories rose by 3.5 million barrels, compared with 2.14 million barrels in the previous week, according to U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) in a statement on its website.
Expectations indicated an increase about 3.3 million barrels.
Meanwhile, U.S. light crude prices inched up at 5:10 am GMT by 0.5% to $32 a barrel.
