Mubasher: U.S. stocks closed Friday on a positive note, fuelled by the healthcare and consumer commodity stocks.
Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.52% or 92.13 points to reach the 17,824.88, while S&P500 was up 0.38% or 7.94 pts to 2,089.18.
NASDAQ Composite edged up 0.62% or 31.28 pts to 5104.92.
At the weekly level, Dow Jones and NASDAQ added 3.4% and 3.6%, respectively. Meanwhile, S&P500 gained 3.3%.
