U.S. stocks close lower, shrug off budget approval

Dubai-Mubasher: U.S. stocks closed in red for the second straight session on Friday, disregarding positive news about Congress' budget approval.

U.S. President Barak Obama said the approval of budget by Congress to finance the government and a package of tax cuts makes him optimistic about 2016.

Dow Jones fell 2.1%, while Nasdaq Composite slid 1.6%. In addition, S&P slipped 1.76%.
