Mubasher: The U.S. equity markets shut Friday with their biggest declines since last September, as oil price continued to fall and eyes are on interest rate decision in the upcoming Federal Reserve meeting.
Dow Jones Industrial Average sagged 1.76% or 309.54 points to close at 17,265.21 points. S&P 500 fell by 39.86 points or 1.94% to 2,012.37 points while NASDAQ Composite went down by 2.21% or 111.71 points to 4,933.47 points.
During the week, Dow Jones lost 3.3%, NASDAQ (4.1%), and S&P (3.8%).
