UAE, India ink new agreements, launch Zayed-Ghandi mesuem

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has signed on Tuesday a currency swap agreement with India to increase trade and investment cooperation between the two nations. 

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of a visit by Indian foreign affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to Abu Dhabi to take part in the ministerial meeting of the UAE-India Joint Commission Meeting (JCM). 

The Indian minister met with Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Emirati minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation. 

Meanwhile, the Zayed-Gandhi Digital Museum was inaugurated at Manarath Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday by the two ministers. 

The museum commemorates the 100th birth anniversary of Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, and it is open to the public from Tuesday 4 December for a week, and will be closed and reopened in March 2019. 

The two countries also signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to increase economic cooperation.
