Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE’s Armed Forces on Wednesday announced the closing of AED 1.585 billion deals on the fourth day of the Dubai Airshow 2017.
The current deals brought the total value of the deals concluded during the event to AED 14.72 billion, said Major General Abdullah Al Sayed Al Hashemi, assistant under-secretary at the ministry of defence during a press conference.
The main deal on Wednesday was reached with Spain’s Airbus Defence and Space, and is worth AED 920 million, Al Hashemi added.
The UAE signed several contracts with international and local companies for purchasing aircraft, and securing logistical and technical support, the top official concluded.
The companies included the USA’s Raytheon, France’s MBDA, Emirates Aviation, the UAE’s Airborne Systems, and South African Denel Dynamics, the UAE Ministry of Defence Reported.
