Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: UAE Central Bank governor Mubarak Rashed Al Mansoori said he expects the UAE’s non-oil sector to grow by 3.1% by the end of 2017, Reuters reported on Sunday.
Speaking at a meeting of Arab central bank governors, the top official further forecasted that the non-oil sector will rise by 3.5% in 2018.
He added that in spite of low oil prices, the UAE’s economy was “enjoying sustained growth” owing to its diversified income resources.
In July, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecast that the UAE’s non-oil sector will grow by 3.3% in 2017.
