UAE – Mubasher: Total assets of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) increased by 7% year-on-year during the first seven months of 2019, registering AED 2.975 trillion, data by the CBUAE showed.
The bank’s total credit portfolio surged by AED 41.171 billion during the seven-month period of 2019, reaching AED 2.550 trillion, versus AED 2.509 trillion at the end of December 2018, according to CBUAE.
Loans and advances grew by 4% to AED 1.704 trillion at the end of July, versus AED 1.622 trillion during the year-ago period.
Moreover, money supply (M1) slipped by 1% year-on-year to AED 502.7 billion at the end of July 2019 from AED 507.9 billion, the CBUAE highlighted.
Furthermore, money supply aggregate (M2) edged up 0.9% to AED 1.363 trillion at the end of July, compared to AED 1.351 billion in the corresponding period of 2018.
Additionally, the money supply (M3) dipped 0.2% to AED 1.642 trillion at the end of July 2019, versus AED 1.645 trillion in the same period a year ago.
