UAE – Mubasher: Total foreign assets of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) increased by 3.5% year-on-year or AED 33 billion in June to AED 364 billion from AED 331 billion, according to data by the CBUAE.
The central bank’s foreign-currency assets amounted to AED 364 billion in June, compared to AED 331 billion in the same month of 2018, the central bank revealed.
Moreover, banking accounts and deposits at banks abroad reached AED 260.48 billion last June from AED 323.50 billion in June 2018, data showed.
Meanwhile, the value of the CBUAE’s foreign securities held to maturity fell by 53% to AED 25.87 billion in June 2019, compared to AED 55.20 billion at the end of June 2018.
