Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Central Bank of the UAE’s (CBUAE) foreign-currency assets increased by 3.16%% month-on-month, or AED 11 billion, during February.
Total foreign assets amounted to AED 359 billion last month, compared to AED 348 billion in January, according to the CBUAE’s statistics released on Tuesday.
On a yearly basis, foreign assets levelled up 6%, compared to AED 340 billion in February 2018.
The central bank’s balance and deposits abroad recorded AED 289.76 billion in the second month of 2019.
Other foreign assets surged 80% to AED 14.04 billion the month before, compared to AED 7.82 billion in the prior-year period.
