UAE C.bank, Emirates Foundation together raise youth’s financial literacy

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Emirates Foundation to launch financial literacy programmes through ‘Esref Sah’, a programme launched by the foundation to educate Emirati youth about financial awareness and money management.

This partnership reflects the central bank’s efforts to bolster monetary and financial stability in a way to reach sustainable economic growth in the UAE, said a press release on Wednesday.

The agreement was dually signed by the deputy governor of CBUAE, Saif Hadef AlShamsi, and the acting CEO of Emirates Foundation at CBUAE HQ, Ahmed Talib Al Shamsi.

“Educating our youth on how to become financially independent and stable will help us to build a strong nation equipped with the right knowledge and ensure sustainable economic growth,” CBUAE’s deputy governor said.

He added, “The programme introduces smart ways for the youth to enhance the quality of their life by providing guidance and real-life scenarios, which will help them to meet their financial goals, grow their wealth, and become financially secure today and tomorrow.”

Launched six years ago, ‘Esref Sah’ has significantly addressed financial challenges youth face, empowering them to build a financially-sustainable career, the acting CEO of Emirates Foundation concluded.
