Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The bilateral non-oil trade between Canada and the UAE registered AED 14.68 billion ($4 billion) in 2017.
The economic relationships between both nations offer promising and huge opportunities, Al Khaleej newspaper reported, citing the UAE’s undersecretary for economic affairs at the Economy Ministry Mohammed Alshehhi.
On Thursday, Alshehhi discussed economic cooperation between Abu Dhabi and Ottawa with Canada’s deputy of international trade minister.
During the last period, the UAE and Canada took many steps to strengthen their economic and trade ties in many sectors including energy, agriculture, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Alshehhi added.
