Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Foreign assets of the UAE Central Bank rose 12.1% year-on-year to AED 326 billion by the end of January 2018 from AED 290.75 billion in the year-ago period, the bank stated on Wednesday.
Total foreign deposits nearly doubled to AED 254.91 billion in the first month of 2018, compared to AED 129.85 billion in the same month a year earlier, the central bank’s data showed.
Government deposits registered AED 203.7 billion in January, while bank deposits in cash reached AED 429.7 billion in the same period.
