Dubai – Mubasher: The value of bilateral non-oil trade between the UAE and Hong Kong has reached AED 32.69 billion ($8.9 billion) in 2017.
The figure was revealed by Juma Al Keet, assistant under-secretary for foreign trade affairs at the UAE Ministry of Economy, during the opening ceremony of the 6th edition of Hong Kong Lifestyle Expo - Dubai, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
"There are great potentials for forming more fruitful partnerships between the two countries, with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), technology, tourism, renewable energy, infrastructures and finance and banking," Emirates News Agency (WAM) Reported, citing Al Keet as saying.
The event was attended by a variety of officials and representatives from the private sector – along with officials from the Chinese Embassy in the UAE.
