Mubasher: The assets of Islamic banking institutions maintained their growth at a rate of 15-20% during the period before the global financial crisis, according to Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR).
The banks’ total assets grew to around $1.3 trillion up to date, with estimates to reach $3 trillion by 2020.
