UAE President approves additional AED 819m for 2016 budget

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, issued a federal law related to the allocation of additional funds to the general budget of the union and budgets of autonomous entities for the fiscal year 2016.

A total of AED 819 million worth of additional funds have been transferred from the general reserve of the country, according to the UAE cabinet’s website.

The Space Agency’s expenses and revenues are expected to stand at AED 157.687 million, while those of the Federal Customs Authority, the National Media Council and the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) are likely to reach AED 8 million, AED 62.598 million and AED 25 million, respectively

Expenses and revenues of the General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare are forecasted to stand at AED 7 million.

An additional budget of AED 325.213 million was allocated for the benefit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
