UAE allocates AED 279.86bn for UAE Federal Budget 2017-2021

UAE – Mubasher: The spending of the UAE Federal Budget 2017-2021 amounted to around AED 279.86 billion, up by 13.3% from that allocated in the five-year medium-term budget, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

The total value of spending on developmental and social activities reached around AED 124.8 billion in 2017-2021, accounting for 44.6% of the total spending in the budget.

In 2021, the UAE has allocated AED 26.04 billion for developmental and social projects, representing 44.9% of the UAE Federal Budget 2021.

Meanwhile, AED 21.9 billion of the UAE Federal Budget 2020 was dedicated to these activities.

It is noteworthy to mention that on Sunday, 1 November, the UAE Cabinet approved the UAE Federal Budget for 2021 with an estimated expenditure of AED 58 billion to finance social, economic, and developmental projects across various sectors.
