Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE Cabinet on Sunday approved AED 248 billion for the five-year draft federal budget for 2017-2021, according to WAM news agency.
A total of AED 25.2 billion was allocated for the development and social benefits sector in 2017, representing 51.7% of the total budget worth AED 48.7 billion for the same year.
Around AED 20.7 billion was earmarked for government affairs sector, accounting for 42% of the 2017 budget.
Within the budget, AED 3.3 billion was assigned to federal projects, and AED 2 billion for the government innovation.
