Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Aviation sector in the UAE amounted to $80 billion, representing 16% of the GCC country's gross domestic product (GDP), Khaled Al Qubaisi, Mubadala's CEO of aerospace, renewables, and information and communication technology (ICT), said.
Al Qubaisi expected that the aviation sector will grow further over the coming period despite the current challenges in the Middle East.
Developing the sector will contribute to improving its performance in the future, the CEO noted.
Al Qubaisi further noted that there are plans to reduce costs in the sector that in return will boost it.
