Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The UAE’s bank credit rose by 0.1% or AED 15.5 billion on a monthly basis in May, according to a report released by the UAE Central Bank.
Gross credit reached AED 1531.8 million in May, compared to AED 1516.3 billion in April.
Total bank deposits grew by AED billion in May due to a rise in resident and non-resident deposits by AED billion and AED 4.3 billion respectively.
Gross bank assets including bankers’ acceptances stood at AED 2506.1 billion at the end of May, up 0.6% from AED 2491 billion at the end of April.
