Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Total assets of UAE-operating banks increased in August 0.1% month-on month to AED 2518.6 billion from AED 2415.8 billion, according to a statistics released by the UAE Central Bank.
The aggregate banking credit reached AED 1548 billion by the end of August 2016, higher 0.5% from AED 1540 for July 2016, the data revealed.
Meanwhile, total deposits declined by AED 7.5 billion to AED 1478.5 billion as resident and non-resident deposits fell to AED 4.8 billion and AED 2.7 billion, respectively.
