UAE – Mubasher: The total foreign assets of the UAE's banking system increased by 2.6% or AED 20.5 billion to AED 791.6 billion in the first quarter of 2019, compared to AED 771.1 billion in December 2019, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
The foreign assets account for 25.3% of the banking sector's total assets valued at AED 3.128 trillion in Q1-2020, according to the statistics of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE).
The foreign assets rose to AED 789.8 billion and AED 795.3 billion in January and February 2020, respectively.
It is noteworthy to mention that in March 2020, the non-resident deposits in the UAE banks increased by 4.1% or AED 8.6 billion to AED 216.7 billion, compared to AED 208.1 billion in the same month of 2019.
