UAE banks' funds to SMEs decline to AED 92.5bn in Q2-20

UAE – Mubasher: The UAE banks have decreased their funds provided to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to AED 92.5 billion during the second quarter (Q2) of 2020, compared to AED 93.4 billion in the first quarter (Q1) of 2020.

The government entities have received the largest share of the banks' funding, with AED 23.3 billion in Q2-20, as shown by the latest statistics by the CBUAE.

It is noteworthy to mention that in June 2020, the loans granted by the UAE banks grew by 6% to AED 1.79 trillion, compared to around AED 1.69 trillion during the same month of 2019.
