UAE - Mubasher: The value of the UAE banks' net foreign assets grew by 17.5% to around AED 79.8 billion during the first four months of 2020, when compared to the same period of 2019.
The rise in net foreign assets is attributed to an increase in the banks' total asset balance to AED 684.8 billion during the January-April period, versus AED 605 billion foreign liabilities, according to the latest data by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE).
Assets represented 84% of the UAE banking system's total cumulative foreign assets worth around AED 814.9 billion.
