UAE - Mubasher: A Dubai-based global EdTech company, Library 21 Holdings, has acquired the UK's Inspirational Development Group (IDG), which runs leadership courses in a strategic alliance with the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst in the UK.
With the acquisition, Library 21, formerly known as Coded Minds, will operate in over 12 countries across the world and will comprise a 360 suite of educational programmes, according to a press release on Monday.
Many world leaders, including the UAE's top leadership, have attended the Royal Military Academy.
IDG is the second major international acquisition by Library 21, which took a stake in a leading STEM and INNOVATION education company in Canada and the USA in 2019.
Commenting on the acquisition, the Founder and President of Library 21, Omar Farooqui, noted: "The year 2020 has brought about many challenges to companies worldwide but we have used this opportunity to reaffirm our business model and drive to make education a right and not a privilege by bringing best in class offerings to the masses."
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of IDG in the UAE, Peter Turpie, commented: "Joining the Library21 group presents a fantastic opportunity for us and will further our ambition to build the next generation of leaders across the globe through high-quality learning experiences that are fun, innovative, and accessible."
