By: Amr Adel

Dubai-Mubasher: The UAE’s Oil Minister Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei calls for a long-term future plan to prepare for the end of fossil fuel era in the future.

On the sidelines of the two-day CIS Global Business Forum started in Dubai, he added that oil price drop is a good opportunity for customers, yet it put pressures on producers.

Al Mazrouei called oil producing countries not to make oil as the primary source of revenues, as well as adopting post-oil strategy like the UAE's.

The minister also advised the countries to diversify energy sources and to move away from an oil-dependent economy

The minister said the UAE aims to cut the share of oil and gas as an energy source from the current nearly 100% to 70% by 2030.
