Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE Central Bank saw a 0.9% year-on-year decline in its assets in October, according to a statement.
Total assets reached AED 350.5 billion in October 2016, compared to AED 353.6 billion in September 2016.
Cash and bank balances rose from AED 65 billion by the end of September to AED 78.9 billion by the end of October.
Deposits fell from AED 67.5 billion in September to AED 52.4 billion last month.
“Banks and OFCs current accounts” at the central bank reached AED 22.4 billion by the end October 2016, while cash at banks stood at AED 14.3 billion during the same period.
Monetary base levelled down 3.8% from AED 325.56 billion September to AED 313.7 billion in October.
