Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Clean energy prices in the UAE are among the lowest in the world, Fahad Mohammed Al Hammadi, director of the Climate Change Department at the UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCE), has said.
The price per kilowatt (KW) amounts to around 2.4 cents in the UAE, whereas in many countries it amounts to around 7 cents, the top official revealed during a press conference held on Tuesday as part of a climate change event.
Al Hammadi said he considered his country’s electricity prices as an indicator of the major growth and achievements carried out by the UAE in the clean energy sector.
The event was organised by Zayed University in the UAE.
