Dubai - Mubasher: The Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has issued a law transferring the responsibilities of the Dubai Economic Council to Dubai’s Department of Economic Development (DED).
The new law aims to support the economic decision-making process, and encourage the business environment in Dubai, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM).
It also helps involve the private sector in the process of developing public policies through the Dubai Chamber and the DED, promote partnership between public and private sectors to boost economic growth and enhance international competitiveness.
The employees of the Dubai Economic Council will be transferred to the Department of Economic Development without prejudice to their vested rights.
