Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE Ministry of Economy has launched two campaigns to recall 47 Mercedes-Benz 190 cars and an unidentified number of Chevrolet Corvette 2018 for safety reasons.
The first campaign has been launched in collaboration with Gargash Enterprises and Al Emarat Cars, while the other campaign has been kicked off in cooperation with General Motors and some car agents in the GCC nation, the ministry said.
Daimler-Benz, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz, warned that the seatbelts may get stuck in some of the 190 models, the ministry highlighted.
Both Gargash and Al Emarat Company have started informing car dealers to begin checking up the imported models of any malfunctions, as the cars will be fixed for free and agents will be exempted from paying any fees.
The ministry has also launched a campaign in collaboration with General Motors and some car agents in the country to operate maintenance for a number of Chevrolet Corvette 2018 as the model standards are not compatible with the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO).
