UAE – Mubasher: Gold prices in the UAE markets fell during the first week of July after hitting record highs in June.
The price of 24-karat gold reached AED 165.27 per gram in the first week of July, down 0.7% from AED 166.52 at the end of June.
The 22-karat gold recorded AED 151.5 per gram, compared to AED 152.64 per gram last month.
As for the price of the 21-karat gold, it slumped to AED 144.61 per gram last week, versus AED 145.7 in June.
The price of the 18-karat gold per gram fell to AED 123.95 from AED 124.89.
The 14-karat gold price stood at AED 96.41 per gram and the 12-karat gold price reached AED 82.63 per gram at the end of the first week of July.
The price of gold in the UAE reached AED 5,140 per ounce and AED 165,266 per kilo, while the pound of gold valued at AED 1,157.
