UAE gold reserves hit AED 1.2bn in 7 months

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Central Bank of UAE raised the gold reserves by 27.13% to AED 1.195 billion during January-June 2016, compared with AED 940 million by the end of 2015, according to official data issued by the bank.

The bank added gold assets during July worth AED 31 million, while the bank's capital based amounted to AED 1.164 billion by the end of June.

In the first half of 2016, gold reserves rose by 23.83% or AED 224 million, compared to AED 940 million by the end of 2015.
