Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE ranked second among the most trusting governments in the world, according to the report of 2018 Edelman Trust Barometer.
The Emirati government officials are more trusted by the informed public and the general population by 11 points and 7 points, respectively, the report found.
“The UAE general population’s trust in media recovered, rising 12 points, after having declined sharply in the previous year,” the report found
These results reflect the impact of initiatives such as “Year of Giving,” which brought government entities, private sector players, NGOs, and the community together, to promote the UAE’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) role in serving the nation.
“Journalists’ credibility increased 17 points; the single highest positive increase associated with a spokesperson in the country,” 2018 Edelman Trust Barometer’s data showed.
