Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE Ministry of Finance (MoF) reported that total government expenditure at the level of ministries and federal government entities has amouned to AED 8.9 billion, according to Emarat Al-Youm newspaper on Wednesday.
Public services acquired the largest share of expenditures with 36%, equivalent to AED 3.2 billion, the MoF stated.
Government expenditure on public order and safety reached 26.7%, equivalent to AED 2.4 billion, while the education sector obtained a share of 14.5%, equivalent to AED 1.3 billion.
Moreover, the health sector, social protection, and economic affairs had expenditures of AED 797.2 million, AED 751.8 million, and AED 258.6 million, respectively.
The rest of expenditures had been distributed to the sectors of housing and community facilities at AED 77.9 million, followed by defence at AED 54.3 million, environment at 52.7 million, and entertainment, culture, and religion at AED 42.3 million.
