UAE has 79 Arab startups – Forbes Middle East

Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE topped the list of the countries having the highest number of Arab startups in the Middle East with 79 startups, according to Forbes Middle East.  

Egypt ranked second in the list with 20 startups, speakers from the US-based magazine said at an event held in Dubai.

Forbes Middle East noted that the UAE and Saudi Arabia rank first and second, respectively, in terms of the highest number of investors in Arab startups.

The business magazine said that a total of 150 startups in the Arab region received $1 billion in financing, including $571 million to Dubai-based transportation network service company Careem.
