Dubai – Mubasher: The UAE Federal Tax Authority stated that all food products are subject to the value-added tax (VAT).
The FTA’s statement came as a response to some allegations that some vegetables and fruits were exempted from the VAT, according to Emarat Al Youm newspaper.
The UAE began to levy a 5% VAT as of 1 January 2018.
