Dubai-Mubasher: The UAE’s consumer price index declined 0.48% to 126.97 points in October, compared with 127.58 pts in September.
However, inflation rose 3.68% compared with the same month of 2014, the state’s news agency WAM reported citing the data released by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority.
The prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages dropped by 1.10% compared with the previous month due to lower prices of fish, spices, salt and other foodstuff.
Clothes and footwear increased by 1.42% month-on-month, while housing, water, electricity and gas prices rose by 0.11%.
Meanwhile, the household furnishings and equipment declined by 0.44%, while telecoms fell by 0.03%.
The transport prices declined remarkably by 4.12% compared with the previous month.
