UAE inflation drops to 2% in Q2 – C.Bank

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE’s inflation decreased to 2% during the second quarter of 2017, compared to 2.7% during Q1-17, a recent report by the Central Bank of the UAE revealed.

The country’s inflation fell to 1.2% in July 2017, compared to 2% in the previous month, official data showed.

In July, the cost of housing and utilities rose 0.9% year-on-year, and food and non-alcoholic beverages increased 1.1%, whereas transport costs fell 1.1%.

Abu Dhabi’s inflation rose 1.5% in July.
