Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE’s inflation declined to 3.09% in September, compared to 3.86% a month earlier.
The prices of food and beverages added 3.2% in September, according to a report released by the UAE Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA) on Sunday.
In September, the prices of the tobacco segment surged to 86.8%, while the prices of clothing and footwear jumped 21.89%.
Cost of housing, water, electricity and gas decreased by 4.4% last September, while health care prices inched down 0.01%.
The GCC nation's inflation rose to 3.86% in August, compared to 3.78% in July.
The CPI in the emirate of Abu Dhabi levelled down to 4.0% in September, down from 4.1% in August, the Statistics Center – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) said.
Meanwhile, Dubai’s CPI fell to 1.15% in September, from 2.20% in August, according to a recent report released by the Dubai Statistics Centre (DSC).
