Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The UAE inflation declined 0.23% month-on-month in April, recording its third successive monthly decline.
The GCC country’s inflation grew 3.53% year-on-year in April, according to a report released by Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA).
The prices of five goods and services segments declined month-on-month in the fourth month of 2018, while the prices of four segments rose month-on-month in the same period.
Meanwhile, the prices of 11 segments increased in April, compared to the year-ago period, FCSA’s data showed.
In April, inflation went down month-on-month in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and Umm al-Quwain by 0.32%, 1.12%, 0.43%, and 0.63%, respectively, while the emirates of Abu Dhabi and Fujairah registered 0.25% and 0.27% month-on-month growth in inflation in the same month.
