Dubai - Mubasher: The UAE increased its purchases of US treasury bonds to $64.4 billion in October, up 0.94% from $63.8 billion in September, data by the US Department of the Treasury showed.
Saudi Arabia's investments in the bonds also jumped 8.17% during October to $96.7 billion, compared with $89.4 billion in September.
On the other hand, investments by China - the biggest foreign holder of US Treasury bonds –in US treasurys declined to $1115.7 billion after Asia's largest economy sold more than $41 billion in US bonds.
Japan also lowered its purchases in the US treasury bonds by $4.5 billion to $1131.9 billion in October, according to the data.
